The October, 2009 meeting of the McDC Back to Basics Community Group will be held at the New Mac Community room in Anderson, MO at 7:00 on October 8 (second Thursday of the month). The theme for the night will be “Birds” (winter feeding and general appreciation) with Bob and Cheryl Floriano and Joyce Haynes, also, recycling in McDonald county with Gregg Sweeten.

This month we are asking everyone who is willing to bring a snack/finger food refreshment having to do with birds. Bring the recipe to share. (If you don’t bring food, you can come anyway!)

Entertainment - bring your favorite bird call, and we will attempt to identify!


The Halloween Pet Parade will be held Saturday, October 24th at 9:30 am at the Anderson Farmer’s Market on HWY 59 across from Tatum Motor.
Dress up your favorite small pet friend ( and yourself if you want) for the 1st Annual B2B Hallowhazit? Parade. (Pets must be kept on a leash!) Ribbons and prizes will be awarded. Call 417 845 0170 to register.

MCDC Back to Basics was created as a grass roots effort for the community to aid its members in supporting each other in good times and bad. This activity is free and open to all.


B2B is excited to announce the opening of not one, but TWO, Farmers Markets here in McDonald County.. On Saturday mornings at 8am the Anderson market you will find an wonderful array of produce, flowers, crafts, wonderful foods.... and often times, music. The market is on Hwy 71 N across from Tatum Motors tractor dealer,

On Tuesday afternoons the B2B Farmers Market will set up at 4pm at the Walmart Intersection in Jane with parking at the Hometown Bank. That market will welcome shoppers until 7pm. Many vendors from the Saturday market will be here as well, but look for some different folks as well. Be sure to check on the forum reports for the lastest updates on the markets.
